SRS allocations (LTE)

This topic contains instructions on how to configure SRS Signaling Reference Signal for autodetection.

SRS is always autodetected regardless of the RB Auto Detect setting. Only SRS transmissions matching the Signal Parameters will be detected.

Configuring an SRS channel

  1. Select the SRS tab (on the left)

  2. Specify the location of the sync slot in the frame with the Sync Slot parameter.

This parameter is only used when Sync Type is set to S-RS.

A slot is unique when the Signal Parameters describe an SRS signal that is different from all other SRS signals in the frame.

Specifying a unique slot will ensure that the beginning of the frame is determined correctly, but is not necessary for successful demodulation. Time indexes on traces will not be correct when the beginning of the frame is not detected correctly.

  3. Set Signal Parameters

For more information about these parameters, see the LTE Allocation Editor topic.

    1. Set Cyclic Shift (nSRSCS)

    2. Set SRS Bandwidth(BSRS)

    3. Set SRS Hopping BW (bhop)

    4. Set Subframe Config

    5. Set the power of the SRS channel using Power (dB)

    6. Set SRS BW Config(CSRS)

    7. Set Tx Comb(kTC)

    8. Set Config Index(ISRS)

    9. Set Freq Dom Pos(nRRC)

    10. (TDD Time Division Duplex: A duplexing technique dividing a radio channel in time to allow downlink operation during part of the frame period and uplink operation in the remainder of the frame period. only) Specify whether the UpPTS Uplink Pilot Time Slot (LTE TDD) portion of special subframes contains PRACH Physical Random Access Channel preamble format 4 using SRSMaxUpPTS

    11. (TDD only) Specify the number of PRACH preambles in the special subframes using SRS NraS1 and SRS NraS6

  4. Return to Uplink user allocations and configure another type of channel or signal.
