Beam Patterns Include (5G NR/5G-Advanced)

The Beam Patterns Include parameter group selects the physical channels to be included in the beam pattern and selects the beam weights data format for the Beam Weights trace.

SSB selects or deselects the SSB.

CSI-RS selects or deselects the CSI channel state information-RS.

PDSCH (downlink only) selects or deselects all enabled PDSCHs.

PUSCH (uplink only) selects or deselects all enabled PUSCHs.

Beam Weights Format selects the format of the beam weight data displayed in the Beam Weights trace. Beam weights are determined using precoding matrix W of the 5G NR standard with transform precoding disabled.

Cartesian (I+jQ) - When selected, the Beam Weights trace displays beam weight data in I+jQ format.

Polar (A ∠ B deg) - When selected, the Beam Weights trace displays beam weight data in polar form with linear magnitude and phase (in degrees).

Log Mag Polar (A dB ∠ B deg)- When selected, the Beam Weights trace displays beam weight data in polar form with log magnitude (in dB) and phase (in degrees).

Max Sidelobe Count sets the maximum number of sidelobes to be included in the beam pattern summary. If there are more sidelobes whose power is higher than Sidelobe Det. Threshold than the number (N) entered in this setting, only the first N sidelobes with higher power are included in the Beam Pattern Summary. If the value of this setting is zero, no sidelobes will be included in the Beam Pattern Summary.

Default: 0

Sidelobe Det. Threshold sets the power threshold in dB used in detecting the sidelobes to be included in the beam pattern summary. This value is a relative value in dB. The power to be detected is the peak power of the sidelobe, and the reference power is the peak power of the main lobe. Use this setting with a non-zero Max Sidelobe Count value to detect and show sidelobes in the Beam Pattern Summary.

Default: -20.0 dB
