DwPTS phase coding (TD-SCDMA)

DwPTS phase coding indicates which phase quadruple was detected. The phase quadruple is used to identify the presence of the P-CCPCH Common Control Physical Channel (Primary Common Control Channel), For more information see Modulation of the SYNC-DL Overview.

Detection of the DwPTS Phase Coding, and hence accuracy of Gain Imbalance and the Demodulated Symbols, depends on low phase noise input data. Because of this, it may be necessary to lock frequency references, between the 89600 hardware and the device under test, in order to achieve good results for these measurements. Increasing the Result Length may also improve data results

Result Length and Start Boundary Requirements

To successfully determine the DwPTS phase coding, the Result Length should be set to a value ³ 4 sub-frames.

The Result Length and Start Boundary parameters are in MeasSetup > TD-SCDMA Demod Properties > Time tab.
