Data Subcarrier Modulation Format (802.11n/ac/ax/be)

Data Subcarrier Modulation Format parameters specify the data subcarrier modulation format. This group of parameters is visible when an 802.11ax standard (HE format) is selected, and enabled when SU Single user is set as the PPDU Format.

• Automatic (Default): The VSA uses the IQ data detected within the OFDM Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing: OFDM employs multiple overlapping radio frequency carriers, each operating at a carefully chosen frequency that is Orthogonal to the others, to produce a transmission scheme that supports higher bit rates due to parallel channel operation. OFDM is an alternative tranmission scheme to DSSS and FHSS. burst to automatically determine the data subcarrier modulation format for each user.
• From SIG Symbols: When From SIG Symbols is selected, the VSA uses information detected within the HT-SIG High-Throughput SIGNAL field or VHT very high throughput (VHT) physical (PHY) layer protocol data unit (PPDU):A PPDU transmitted using the TXVECTOR FORMAT parameter equal to VHT.-SIG sections of the preamble to determine the data subcarrier modulation format.
• Manual: The VSA ignores the format determined from the OFDM burst and sets the expected modulation format for each stream to the modulation format specified in the Manual text box.
