Trace smoothing averages a number of adjacent data points to smooth the displayed trace. The number of adjacent data points that get averaged together is also known as the smoothing aperture. You can specify aperture as either the number of data points or the percentage of the x-axis span.
Select a trace to be smoothed. If viewing more than one trace in a plot, select the trace label to the right of the plot window.
Right-click, then click Trace Smoothing.
Selected Parameter in the Selected Plot - only one trace is smoothed.
Select Parameter in All Plots - the same parameter (i.e. S11) in all plots is smoothed.
All Parameters in Select Plot - All traces in the active plot are smoothed.
Enter either the Percent of Span to use for the smoothing aperture, or select the number of data Points to use for the smoothing aperture.
