:MEASure:JITTer:NOISe:VECLosure?
Query Syntax
:MEASure:JITTerN:NOISe:VECLosure?
Where N identifies one of four possible jitter/noise analyses {1:4}. For example, JITTer4.
Description
Returns the Bit Count, which is the number of symbols that have been measured.
The value is returned for the eye specified by :MEASure:JITTer:NOISe:VECLosure:EYE.
Vertical Eye Closure (VEC) is a measure of the ratio of the ideal eye opening (separation between the average levels surrounding the eye) to the measured eye height reported in dB. The higher the result (decibels) the more the eye is closed.
VEC is a default measurement that is shown in the Noise results content window.
The VEC measurement is IEEE 802.3 ck compliant.
VEC uses the Measurement Probability or the Measurement SER specified in the :MEASure:JITTer:JITTer:EOPening command.
The Eye threshold settings affect how the eye height is measured and is used for both Eye Height and VEC measurements.
