This topic contains information about analyzing captured waveform data using the Agilent 89601A VSA software.
You can immediately view captured waveform data by either clicking the
VSA button or selecting Agilent
89600 VSA as the waveform destination in the capture mode's Waveform Setup leaf. See Basic
Capture Setup for an example of capturing, analyzing, and saving waveform
data.
You can recall and play a previously saved waveform file at any using the 89601A VSA software.
From the capture and playback software, launch the Agilent
89601 VSA software by clicking the VSA button.
In the Agilent 89601A VSA software, select File > Recall > Recall Recording....
Select *.bin as the file type. Choose the desired waveform file and click Open.
The 89601A VSA software requires a sister file that contains sample rate and other 89601A setup parameters. The sister file is a .bin.txt file that is formatted like the following example:
InputZoom |
TRUE |
InputCenter |
0 |
InputRange |
1.0 |
InputRefImped |
50.0 |
XStart |
0.0 |
XDelta |
3.72023809523809E-08 |
XDomain |
2 |
XUnit |

YUnit |
V |
The Baseband Studio for waveform capture and playback software automatically generates a sister file when waveform data is captured, so it is not necessary for the user to create this file. You can, however, edit the parameters or add new parameters. The 89601A software recognizes the following additional parameters:
