P937xA
P50xxA/B, P937xB 2 port
The LO cables and control cable must be connected as shown below.
The following LED colors indicate the USB VNA power status:
Green – Power is on.
Amber – Power supply is on, but the power button is off.
Red (blinking) – Low power. Check if the proper power adapter is used. The P502xA/B or P938xB requires the power adapter 150 W, P/N 0950-6166.
Purple - Updating Chassis FPGA
Blue - Chassis FPGA Update Fail (Repair is required.)
Off – Power supply is disconnected.
The following LED colors indicate the USB VNA status:
Green (solid) – Firmware is running but the USB VNA is NOT sweeping.
Green (blinking) - Each blink indicates a measurement sweep. The USB VNA may be sweeping faster than the indicator can blink.
Amber – Power is ON but the firmware is not running.
Red – A hardware error has occurred, or the VNA firmware is not installed on the Controller PC.
Off – Power is OFF.
P937xA/B and P50xxA/B models are available with 2 test ports.
P938xB model is available with 4 ports.
P502xA/B models are available with 4 or 6 ports.
See data sheet for more information about the connector type and Input damage levels.
Ref In To use a 10 MHz external reference signal, either one below is required. It is not detected automatically.
From the soft front panel, click Setup > Internal Hardware > External Reference to switch external/internal reference.
From SCPI, use SENS:ROSC:SOUR
Note: The P502xA/B-402 and P5025 to 28A/B have two set of reference In/Out ports on the front panel. Use Ref1 In and Ref1 Out.
Ref Out This connector outputs a 10 MHz frequency reference signal for use by other modules and test equipment.
See data sheet for more information about the connector type and inpu/ouput levels.
Note: 100 MHz signal for Ref In and Ref Out is available from SCPI command.
Trig In When enabled, the module accepts signals on this connector which indicates that the external device is ready to be triggered.
Trig Out When enabled, the module outputs signals on these connectors either before or after a measurement.
Trig Ready When enabled, the module outputs a 'READY' signal on this connector to other devices. This indicates that the module is ready to be triggered.

For Daisy-chaining two units. See Multiport and Multisite Configuration. A 50 ohm terminations (p/n 1810-0118) is placed at the factory shipment.
The P502xA/B-402 and P5025 to 28A/B have two set of LO Out/In ports on the front panel. You should connect the cable (p/n M9800-61602) between LO1 Out and LO2 In. LO1 In and LO2 Out can be used for IO adapter and Multiport and Multisite Configuration.
See data sheet for more information about the connector type and input damage levels.
For Daisy-chaining two units or I/O adapter. See Multiport and Multisite Configuration.
The P502xA/B-402 and P5025 to 28A/B have two sets of Ctrl M and Ctrl S ports on the front panel. You should connect the cable (p/n M9800-61601) with Angle (M9800-01201) between Ctrl M1 and Ctrl S2. Ctrl S1 and Ctrl M2 can be used for IO adapter and Multiport and Multisite Configuration.
