During a DC-HSDPA call setup, besides the serving cell, the secondary serving cell information is also communicated with the UE, and the UE is told to monitor the common channels and traffic channels of the secondary serving cell. Once a DC-HSDPA connection is established, you can activate or de-activate the secondary serving cell using HS-SCCH orders (See "Send Activate Secondary Cell" on page 1 and "Deactivate Secondary Cell" on page 1 ). Moreover, you can set to de-activate the secondary serving cell from either the serving cell or the secondary serving cell. Once the secondary serving cell is deactivated under this condition, the test set will still maintains the secondary serving cell and transmits data on the common and traffic channels of the secondary serving cell, while all HS-SCCH channels are transmitted using an alternate H-RNTI.
If a DC-HSDPA connection is released, there will be no RF power from the secondary serving cell.
When the RF Output Port
is set to RF
In/Out
. RF signals of both the serving cell and the secondary
serving cell are from the RF IN/OUT port.
When RF Output Port
is set
to RF Out Only
, RF signals
of both the serving cells are from the RF OUT
ONLY port.
Use this action to send an HS-SCCH Order to activate the secondary serving cell.
You can perform
this action while Secondary Serving Cell
Status is Configured-Active
or Configured-Inactive
.
The HS-SCCH order to activate the secondary serving cell will be sent from the serving cell.
This setting
is also applicable to FDD Test
operating mode.
GPIB command: CALL:HSDPa:HSSCchannel:ORDer:SSCell:ACTivate:SEND[:IMMediate]
Use this action to send an HS-SCCH Order to de-activate the secondary serving cell.
You can perform
this action while Secondary Serving Cell
Status is Configured-Active
or Configured-Inactive
.
This setting
is also applicable to FDD Test
operating mode.
GPIB command: CALL:HSDPa:HSSCchannel:ORDer:SSCell:DEACtivate:SEND[:IMMediate]
Send Deact Secondary Cell HS-SCCH
Order From
This parameter allows you to select which cell to use to send the HS-SCCH Order.
This
setting is also applicable to FDD
Test
operating mode.
GPIB command: CALL:HSDPa:HSSCchannel:ORDer:SSCell:DEACtivate:FROM
DTX
Order Info
This setting is to control what order will be sent on HS-SCCH to control the UL DTX operation when UL DTX is configured to the UE. According to the coding rules in 3GPP TS 25.121 V790 section 4.6C, 0 corresponds to an UL DTX deactivation order, while 1 corresponds to an UL DTX activation order.
GPIB command: CALL:CPC:DTX:ORDer
DRX Order Info
This setting is used to configure which order will be sent on HS-SCCH to control the DL DRX operation when DL DTX is configured to the UE. According to the coding rules in 3GPP 25.121 V790 section 4.6C, 0 corresponds to an DL DRX deactivation order, while 1 corresponds to an DL DRX activation order.
GPIB command: CALL:CPC:DRX:ORDer
Send HS-SCCH Order
This action
causes the test set to transmit a L1 order on HS-SCCH to the
UE. The order information is from DTX Order
Info , DRX Order Info , HS-SCCH
Less Order Info
and depending on the current CPC mode.
When CPC Mode
is set to UL
DTX+DL DRX
or UL DTX+DL
DTX+HS-SCCH-less
, if the DTX
Order Info
is 0
but the DRX Order Info
is 1
, you can not send
an HS-SCCH order.
