A manufacturing setup for testing one or more DUT Fixtures. The Test Station includes a Text Executive program to control DUT settings and temperature. but you can define up to 16! FlexOTO automatically assigns Station numbers without gaps. So a jump in number from 3 to 16 would never happen. The drawing also shows one switch and two DCA-M modules. But, you can select from many supported auto-detected equipment.

Select the Hardware Diagram FlexOTO's switch diagram pane for modeling the test environment's physical hardware. or Station A FlexOTO child process for making independent measurements for a Test Station. tab of interest and on FlexOTO's menu click Tools > SCPI Programming Tools > SCPI Server Setup.
For each FlexOTO Station child process, FlexOTO automatically assigns a VISA hislip value to match the Station number as shown in the following picture. FlexOTO Hardware Diagram is always set to hislip0. Depending on the individual FlexOTO SCPI command, the command can be sent to:
- the Hardware Diagram application,
- a Station child process, or
- to both Hardware Diagram and Stations.
These icons appear in most topics to identify if the topic's subject is compatible with the Hardware Diagram application, Stations child processes, or both. You'll find the icons below the topic's banner.
For brevity, the drawing shows only four Stations while in reality you can have up to 16 sessions! Also, some of the HiSLIP addresses have been shortened to fit in the diagram.
The computer-name field in the address can be one of the following:
- locahost A generic name used to identify a computer in a script that is running on the same computer. It is included in the VISA address. if your program is running on the same PC as FlexOTO.
- If your program is not running on the same PC as FlexOTO:
- An IP address of the PC where FlexOTO is installed. For example,
123.456.78.91. - The PC's System Name of the PC where FlexOTO is installed. For example,
computer12C4D.
