Attenuator Slope Adjustment

This adjustment applies to the following models with firmware below A.09.00:

All adjustments will require the CFG Option. Refer to the CFG Option section for more information.

The SA calibration consists of five different adjustments that should be performed in succession in the following order. For more information, click here.Closed

  1. LO Feedthru

  2. Absolute Amplitude

  3. Frequency Response

  4. Attenuator Slope

  5. IF Frequency Response

Total absolute amplitude accuracy is specified with 10 dB attenuation, and Preamp off. The Fieldfox frequency response corrections are generated with 10 dB attenuation (Preamp off). The 10 dB attenuator setting is called the reference setting. Amplitude accuracy is not specified in the non-reference attenuator settings. Even though the non-reference amplitude accuracy is not specified, the amplitude accuracy should be suitable for use. The Attenuator Slope adjustment allows the Fieldfox to have excellent amplitude accuracy in the non-reference attenuator settings. This adjustment generates (and stores) amplitude corrections relative to the 10 dB attenuator setting. An attenuator slope failure may indicate that the input attenuator may have a damaged section.

  • Only a single representative model will be shown.
  • Some illustrations may differ than those in TME.
  • For procedures that apply to multiple ports, illustrations will show the setup on only one test port.
