Spectrum (802.16 OFDM)

The Spectrum trace data shows the frequency spectrum of the Time trace. When 802.16 OFDM Demodulation is enabled, the Spectrum trace is the averaged, Inst Spectrum display, as shown in the following block diagram. If averaging is off, the Spectrum and Inst Spectrum displays are identical.

The Spectrum trace has the following characteristics:

• It is derived from pre-demodulated time data, which is usually 20% larger than the result length. See Time.

• It is averaged if averaging is ON and the average type is rms, rms exponential, or peak averaging.

  If averaging is ON, a scan is not included in the average if any of these conditions exist: Pulse Not Found, Sync Not Found, Carrier Unlock, or certain DATA? conditions.
