Map file (Definition Source) (802.16 OFDMA)

Default: Cleared (See OFDMA Standard Presets Table.)

Map file Definition Source mode applies a previously stored Map File to the current measurement zone definitions. Map file allows a quick setup, repeat, and/or reproduction of a previous measurement zone definition setup.

Using the Map file Definition Source mode

There must be at least one existing map file loaded to select the Map file Definition Source mode. If there is not an existing map file in the Map File Name drop-down list, either create or import an existing map file. If there is a Map File, select Map file and then select the name of the map file to use for the measurement from the Map File Name drop-down list.  The selected Map File zone definitions will be immediately applied to the current measurement.

Creating, Importing, and Using Map Files

The Edit Map Files button is used to create, edit, delete, export, import or create a Map File from the current measurement setup. Clicking the  Edit Map Files will open the OFDMA Map Files dialog box, which provides the interface to perform all the Map File functions. To learn about using Map Files, see Using Map Files topic.

The VSA also supports two other zone definition modes; Auto-detect or Manual.
