Waveform Generation Tab (Flex Frame - Basic and Advanced Modes)
Flex Frame Waveform Generation requires Option 89602AYAC.
The tab of the configures the settings needed to define the generated Flex Frame signal, predistort the waveform with the measured EQ response, add AWGN Additive White Gaussian Noise - Statistically random radio noise characterized by a wide frequency range with regards to a signal in a communications channel. and save to a file or download to any connected source/AWG.
A baseband waveform is generated based on the Flex Frame signal configuration settings. Center Frequency is controlled by the connected source using the settings in Source > Control.
For configurations with multiple component carriers (Advanced configuration mode), a single waveform is generated for the selected component carrier. If Component Carrier is set to All, the generated waveform is based on CC0. In Basic configuration mode, a single component carrier signal is generated.
For each generated waveform, you can:
-
View the time domain and spectrum of the generated waveforms with the Generated Time and Generated Spectrum traces;
-
Recall the waveform as a recording. Recall As Recording automatically recalls the current waveform as a recording and begins to play it. Even if the current measurement fails because there is no valid signal source, you can recall the waveform as a recording to do a successful measurement.
-
Save the waveform into .mat files (this is the only file format supported when downloading a waveform to signal generator);
-
Download the waveform to the currently selected (properly configured) source.
The Waveform Generation tab configures these parameters:
