Reference Data Selection
Menu Path:
Specifies how both the FM Frequency Modulation and FM Slope reference data is calculated. Reference Data Selection affects the reported FM Reference and FM Slope Reference trace results, along with the associated FM Error and FM Slope Error trace results and metrics.
Valid selections are:
- Best-Fit (Default Setting)
- FM and FM Slope reference data is calculated as a least squares linear regression best-fit line measured over the detected region-specific LFM synchronized time samples, excluding any user defined Exclude During Analysis time samples. The associated per region Best-Fit FM result metrics are reported in the FMCW Region Table.
- Manual
-
FM and FM Slope reference data is calculated from the specified Manual Reference Description parameters, used to describe the ideal reference signal LFM repeating region-group pattern. This pattern is assumed to repeat over the duration of the user specified Acquisition Length measurement time interval up to the Maximum Region Count value (both of these parameters can be specified under the Time tab).
Manual selection is not a valid choice when Region Synchronization = Automatic.
