Manual (MB-OFDM)

When Manual is selected, the measurement result length is specified by the value (symbol-times) in the text box. The default is 60 symbol-times. The VSA ignores the input burst symbol length and uses the Manual symbol length. The VSA will use this value even if it is longer than the measured signals burst length.

Manual does not limit the result length to the number of symbols transmitted within the burst as is done in the two auto modes (From Pulse Search and From Header). The VSA will demodulate the total number of symbols specified by Manual , which if longer than the burst, could lead to unexpected and incorrect data results.

The Payload Octets can be set by entering a value in the Payload Octet text box. This displays the resulting Result Length (in symbols) for your particular settings of Payload Octets and Data Rate.
