Downlink
Channel Configuration
Present - When checked, the selected channel configuration is present (active) in the signal.
Include - When checked, the selected channel configuration is included in EVM Error vector magnitude (EVM): A quality metric in digital communication systems. See the EVM metric in the Error Summary Table topic in each demodulator for more information on how EVM is calculated for that modulation format. calculations and applicable traces, such as IQ Meas and Error Vector Time.
Name - Enter a name for the selected channel configuration.
Allocated Slots - Displays the allocated slots for each configured channel.
NPDSCH

Off: No precoding will be applied to the channel configuration.
TransmitDiversity: Transmit Diversity precoding will be applied to the channel.
Uplink
Channel Configuration
NPUSCH
Active- Sets NPUSCH as the channel to analyze. Selecting Active automatically sets the Sync Type as NPUSCH DMRS and deactivates NPRACH and the associated NPRACH Sync Type.
Default: Enabled (selected)
Choices: Enabled, Disabled
Power Boost - Sets the power boost level for the NPUSCH.
Default: 0 dB
Range: +/- 20 dB
NRNTI - Sets the NRNTI for the NPUSCH.
Default: 1
Range: 0-65535
Start Subframe - Sets the NPUSCH offset (in ms). NPUSCH Start Subframe is in increments of 1 ms. When Subcarrier Spacing is set to 3.75 kHz kiloHertz: A radio frequency measurement (one kilohertz = one thousand cycles per second)., Start Subframe is limited to even numbers (2 ms increments) because the slot length for 3.75 kHz subcarrier spacing is 2 ms and the NPUSCH offset needs to be an integer number of slots.
Default: 0
NPUSCH Format - When Number of Tones is set to 1, sets the NPUSCH format. When Auto is selected (default), the NPUSCH format is automatically determined. NPUSCH format 1 is used to carry the uplink shared channel (UL Up Link (reverse link: from cell phone to base station)-SCH). NPUSCH format 2 is used to carry uplink control information (UCI).
Default: Format 1 (UL-SCH); Auto
Choices: Format 1 (UL-SCH), Format 2 (UCI)
Single Tone Mod Fmt - When Number of Tones is set to 1 and NPUSCH Format is set to Format 1 (UL-SCH), sets the single-tone modulation format. When Auto is selected (default), the single-tone modulation format is automatically determined.
Default: pi/2 BPSK Binary phase shift keying - A type of phase modulation using 2 distinct carrier phases to signal ones and zeros.; Auto
Choices: pi/2 BPSK, pi/4 QPSK Quadrature phase shift keying
RU Number - Sets the number of resource units in a NPUSCH transmission.
The maximum RU Number allowed depends on the Subcarrier Spacing, Number of Tones, and Repetitions settings. The total length of the NPUSCH tranmission must be <= 256 ms.
- When Subcarrier Spacing is set to 3.75 kHz (Number of Tones is always 1), RU Number*Repetitions ≤ 8.
- When Subcarrier Spacing is set to 15 kHz, RU Number*Repetitions ≤ 32 for 1 tone, ≤ 64 for 3 tones, ≤ 128 for 6 tones, and ≤ 256 for 12 tones.
Default: 1
Choices: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 (maximum depends on the Subcarrier Spacing, Number of Tones, and Repetitions settings up to 256 ms in length)
Repetitions - Sets the number of repetitions of the NPUSCH.
The maximum Repetitions allowed depends on the Subcarrier Spacing, Number of Tones, and RU Number settings.
Default: 1
Choices: 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 (maximum depends on the Subcarrier Spacing, Number of Tones, and RU Number settings)
Base Sequence Index - When NPUSCH Format is set to Format 1 (UL-SCH) or when NPUSCH Format Parameters Auto is enabled, sets the base sequence index. When Cell ID is set to Manual and Base Sequence Index is set to Auto, the Base Sequence Index will be auto-calculated from the Cell ID. When Cell ID is set to Auto, the Base Sequence Index setting is not editable and is auto-detected.
See 3GPP TS Technical Specification 36.211 10.1.4.1.2 for more information.
Default: 0; Auto
Cyclic Shift - When Number of Tones is set to 3 or 6, sets the cyclic shift applied to the base DMRS sequence. This specifies the value of threeTone-CyclicShift or sixTone-CyclicShift higher layer parameters, depending on how many tones the signal contains.
Default: 0
Group Hopping - When enabled and NPUSCH Format is set to Format 1 (UL-SCH) , sets the NPUSCH group assignment.
Default: Disabled; 0
Choices: Disabled, Enabled;
NPRACH
Active- Sets the NPRACH as the channel selected for analysis and disables NPUSCH analysis. Selecting Active automatically sets the Sync Type as NPRACH and deactivates NPUSCH and the associated NPUSCH DMRS Sync Type.
Default: Disabled (not selected)
Choices: Enabled, Disabled
Power Boost - When NPRACH is set to Active, sets the power boost level for the NPRACH.
Default: 0 dB
Preamble Format - When NPRACH is set to Active, sets the NPRACH preamble format.
Default: Format 0
