Manual (TD-SCDMA)

Default: Cleared (See TD-SCDMA Standard Setups/Presets Table.)

Manual specifies the VSA modulator parameters that determine the TD-SCDMA Modulation Scheme used in the signal analysis: SF "Spread Factor", Chan and Mod Type.

The parameters should be set in the following order:

  1. (SF): The Spreading Factor can be selected from a drop-down list that includes 1, 2, 4, 8, and 16. The default is 16.
  2. Chan: The Code Channel can be selected from a drop-down list that includes All and 0 through 16 (depending on the Spreading Factor selected). The default is All.
  3. Mod Type: The Modulation Type can be selected from a drop-down list that includes Auto, QPSK Quadrature phase shift keying, 8-PSK Phase Shift Keying: A broad classification of modulation techniques where the information to be transmitted is contained in the phase of the carrier wave., 16-QAM Quadrature Amplitude Modulation, and 64-QAM for SF1 and SF16. QPSK is the only option available for SF2, SF4, and SF8 (in compliance with the TD-SCDMA standard). The default is Auto.

Manual Modulation Scheme mode is only available when Enable HSPA/8PSK is selected.

For infomation on automatically detecting the modulation type and using that type for demodulation, see Auto-detect for all code channels.
