Result Length (W-CDMA(3GPP)/HSPA)

Default: 15 Slots (See W-CDMA(3GPP) Standard Setups/Presets Table.)

Range: 1 to 64

Result Length specifies the signal capture length in terms of slots or equivalent slot time. This is the number of slots available for data analysis. The actual analysis interval is determined by Measurement Offset and Measurement Interval properties which must be specified to be within the Result Length, such that Measurement Offset >= 0 and Measurement Offset + Measurement Interval <= Result Length. Make sure that the Result Length is long enough to capture all the desired data.

Result Length may be entered as an integer number of slots, frames or time. Choose to use seconds and the VSA will automatically increment the time as necessary to obtain an integer number of slots.

Slot: one slot is equal to 2560 chips (666.7 µs at the default chip rate) and one frame is equal to 15 slots (10 ms at the default chip rate).

Result Length is a primary factor determining measurement speed. Smaller Result Length increases measurement speed but a Result Length less than 6 Slots may cause inaccurate measurement results.
