Slot Summmary Table (W-CDMA(3GPP)/HSPA)
When W-CDMA Code Division Multiple Access: One of several digital wireless transmission methods in which signals are encoded using a specific pseudo-random sequence, or code, to define a communication channel. A receiver, knowing the code, can use it to decode the received signal in the presence of other signals in the channel. This is one of several "spread spectrum" techniques, which allows multiple users to share the same radio frequency spectrum by assigning each active user an unique code. CDMA offers improved spectral efficiency over analog transmission in that it allows for greater frequency reuse. Other characteristics of CDMA systems reduce dropped calls, increase battery life and offer more secure transmission. See also IS-95.(3GPP) Demodulation is enabled, the table summarizes all slots in the Result Length and lists one row for each Slot. In each row there are six columns: slot number, error vector magnitude, peak code domain error, location, frequency error, and total power.
Measurement Offset. The first slot captured can be specified by clearing the Sync Start Slot check box in the tab (
: Indicates the slot corresponding to the results displayed in the row. The first slot is the first captured slot and is independent of theEVM Error vector magnitude (EVM): A quality metric in digital communication systems. See the EVM metric in the Error Summary Table topic in each demodulator for more information on how EVM is calculated for that modulation format., see Comp Error Vector Magnitude (EVM)
: Indicates the composite : Indicates the peak CDE error, see: Indicates the channel where the PkCDE is located. The location is always "S256(x). The first character "S" stands for spread code. The first number identifies the spread code length. The number in parentheses identifies the code channel number.
Composite Frequency Error (Freq Err)
: Indicates the composite frequency error. See: Indicates the total power in the specified slot.
