:CHANnel:ESCaling:STATe
Command Syntax
:CHANnelN:ESCaling:STATe {OFF | ON}
Where N identifies a specific channel in the form "<connection1-8>_<ch1-8>". With connection 1, the connection number part (that is, "1_") is optional, and you can simply use the channel number "<ch1-8>". For example, connection 4 channel 2 is CHANnel4_2.
Query Syntax
:CHANnelN:ESCaling:STATe?
Description
Turns on and off compensation for external hardware (like a transducer, for example) in the test setup. This allows Infiniium to measure values and show vertical scaling as if the measurements were made before the external hardware rather than at the input to the oscilloscope channel.
- Use
:CHANnel:ESCaling:ATTenuation,:CHANnel:ESCaling:GAIN, or:CHANnel:ESCaling:DBto specify the external hardware's attenuation/gain/dB. - Use
:CHANnel:ESCaling:OFFSetto specify the external hardware's offset. - Use
:CHANnel:ESCaling:UNITsto specify the unit-of-measurement at the external hardware's input.
The following table show the relationship between external hardware input, gain, and offset measurement units and the oscilloscope's displayed vertical scale.
| Transducer Measurement Units | Oscilloscope Vertical Scale/Division |
||
|---|---|---|---|
| Input Units | Gain Conversion Factor Units | Offset Units | |
| VOLTs | V/V | V | V/div |
| AMPere* | V/A | A | A/div |
| WATT | V/W | W | W/div |
| UNKown | V/U# | U | U/div |
| *. Electrical channel only. #. Unknown units. |
