Differences in the E8267D automatic level control (ALC) circuit, as compared to the E4438C ESG or N5182A MXG instruments, can create output power level errors with signals that burst on and off in the manner of WiMAX. Refer to Power Control for E8267D PSG Signal Generators for information on adjusting the ALC.
If you have configured a MIMO system and are not getting any output power from one or both of the instrument or the signals from the two instruments are not synchronized, refer to Manual Synchronization of MIMO Systems for more information.
Check the instrument for any error messages. If possible, correct any conditions indicated by the messages.
When a setting conflict (error) occurs, an error number and a brief message appear at the bottom of the ESG/MXG/PSG display. You can view the full text of the error message either by using the front panel of the ESG/MXG/PSG or by executing SCPI commands.
