Before installing the license file, save a backup copy in a safe place.
The N7625C uses two different licensing schemes. Refer to the table below to access the appropriate procedure for your license type.

When an N7625APPC license is installed on a PC-based instrument (such as a PXIe controller), it supports all the features of an N7625EMBC license, including waveform file (.wfm) playback. Waveform files generated with previous software versions may require conversion to support playback on N7625APPC-licensed instruments, using the Convert Waveform tool.
Your Signal Studio software license file (*.lic) is a text file that is attached to the email message you receive when you redeem your license. The license file is specific to your PC's Host ID. Embedded waveform-playback licenses, however, are specific to the instrument's model number and serial number.
Save the license file to the root directory of a USB storage device.
Insert the storage device into a USB port of the PC or instrument matching the Host ID used in redemption.
The license file should install automatically.
On the PC or PC-based instrument matching the Host ID used in redemption, start the Keysight License Manager 5 (KLM5) software.
You can download KLM5 at no charge from www.keysight.com/find/KLM5.
From the KLM5 software, click the "Tools" icon > Install License File. Navigate to the license file and open it.
The license file should install automatically.
Floating licenses provide the ability for multiple client PCs or PC-based instruments to use a common license that is stored on a network license server. Also called a concurrent license, floating licenses are bound to the Host ID of the license server, and are used by any client computer running the Signal Studio software with network access to the server (as long as the number of concurrent client users does not exceed the number of granted licenses).
Floating licenses provide the ability to use one license on different PCs (instruments). The client PC or instrument requests a license from the server to run the Signal Studio software. If a license is available, the server will allocate the license to the client.
This procedure installs the Signal Studio software floating license system. To ensure a successful installation, make sure you have installed Keysight Floating License Manager and perform the installation process in the following sequence. If you are using a USB dongle, see USB Dongle License Setup.
