HTTP SMS Router Web-based Configuration Interface

Last updated: January 15, 2009

This section explains how to use the web-based interface provided for configuring the HTTP SMS Router for mobile originated SMS messages. To configure the HTTP Interface for Mobile Originated SMS, you must have an active LAN connection to the test set in order to access its http server. You can access the HTML pages for configuration via any standard internet browser.

Accessing the web-based HTTP SMS Router Interface

  1. Access the instrument home page for your test by directing an internet browser to http://x.x.x.x, where `x.x.x.x' is the IP address of the test set to which the mobile station is attached that is sending the mobile originated message. The test set's home page is displayed in the browser window, as shown below.

  2. Click on SMS (circled in red in the previous figure). This opens the HTTP SMS Router Current Configuration page.

Current Configuration

The current HTTP Interface Settings are summarized on the Current Configuration page. See Change Configuration for information on changing these settings.

NOTE
Although the enabled or disabled state of both the HTTP Input interface and the HTTP Output interface is displayed on the Current Configuration page, these settings cannot be changed using the web-based interface. For instructions on changing these settings, see Enable the Test Set's HTTP Interface .

General

This section controls the number that is associated with the mobile station for messages output over the HTTP interface.

Output Destination

This section allows you to specify the destination for mobile originated SMS messages. If this is another test set, only the IP address of the destination test set is required for this section. For other destinations, such as an SMS Gateway running on a PC, more specific details are required.

Click the Apply Changes button to save any configuration changes you have made. The browser returns to the HTTP SMS Router Current Configuration page.

Alternatively, use the Cancel button to discard any changes you have made that you do not want saved.
