The F-PFIT feature adds a Pulse Fit signal processing operator and is included in the Research and Development package license. Pulse Fit calculates and displays the linear fit pulse response waveform of a pattern. The output waveform can be selected to show pulse response (approximate impulse response) , step response (fits pattern to a step waveform), or fit waveform (converts pulse response back to ideal input waveform for comparison. The pulse fit capability is defined in some standards such as IEEE 802.3ck.
