Modules (N1000A)
The N1000A DCA-X supports a large selection of plug-in modules. These modules provide electrical and optical channel inputs covering various data and filter rates. Use the links in this topic to learn about the available modules. The provided information includes description, options, and accessories. For module specifications, refer to the FlexDCA specifications help. On FlexDCA's menu, click Help > Specifications.
If a module is not properly identified by the mainframe, remove the module. Click File > Exit to close FlexDCA and again to close the instrument application. Re-insert the module and finger tighten the locking screws. From the desktop, restart the instrument application.
HOT SWAP THE MODULES. You do not need to turn off the mainframe to install or remove the modules. The module can be installed in either the left or right instrument slot. To ensure the instrument meets all published specifications there must be a good ground connection between the module and mainframe. The RF connectors on the rear of the module are spring-loaded; therefore, you must finger-tighten the knurled screw on the front panel of the module to ensure the module is securely seated in the mainframe.
