Fact 10. Station Scripts are Flexible

FlexOTO StationsClosed A FlexOTO child process for making independent measurements for a Test Station. manage measurement settings for Fixture Lanes while FlexOTO Hardware Diagram manages DCA-M settings and switch routes for the most efficient measurements. Because Stations care about Fixture Lanes and do not deal with DCA-M settings and switch routes, a Test Station's Station script can handle similar Hardware Diagrams with minimal edits.

Change to measurements performed, measurement configuration, and presets. No Change Edit Edit existing Test ProgramClosed A FlexOTO Session's test plan for a Test Station. A Test Program specifies measurement configuration, measurement settings, and saved results. lines. This edit can be done quickly between a Station's Test Program runs. For example, you can configure Test Program to tune a signal and then reconfigure the Test Program to run tests.
Change to symbol rate and pattern length. No Change Edit Edit existing Test Program lines. This edit can be done quickly between a Station's Test Program runs.
New DUT Fixtures with reduced lane count. Edit Edit Very easy changes are needed. Change the lane count in the DUT Fixtures tab on FlexOTO Hardware Diagram (:CONFigure:NLANes command). When you restart the Stations, FlexOTO recognizes the change and removes any Station Test Program lines that are no longer valid for working. You would still need to remove unused Test Program lines in your Test Station script. Remember, a Test Program line defines settings for a specific Fixture lane.
Optical switch needs repair and new switch has different ports. Edit No Change The port names will likely differ, so you will need to make new connections on the Hardware Diagram. If the new switch is unsupported by FlexOTO, you will need to write a switch driver.
Change DCA-M modules or number of DCA-Ms used. Edit No Change Edit the Hardware Diagram only. No changes are needed for the Station Test Programs but test times may be effected.
