Overview of Adjustments (serial prefix ≥ 4928)

This section describes all available adjustments for the following signal generators:


These adjustments are performed so that the signal generator is properly calibrated.

  • Signal Generators without Option 1EU that have a serial prefix ≥ 4928 require firmware revision C.06.00 or greater.

  • When performing adjustments using an 82357A/B USB/GPIB interface converter and PSG-D units with serial prefix ≥ 4928, SCPI errors or a GPIB timeout may occur. If these errors occur with the USB/GPIB interface, repeat the adjustments using a GPIB card connection to the PSG-D.

Backup Cal Data to Motherboard Memory

  1. For units with Option UNY or Option HNY, the FM/PM YO Frequency Compensation Calibration is executed before the FM In-Band DCFM Calibration. For units without Option UNY and without Option HNY, the FM/PM YO Frequency Compensation is executed before the DC FM Calibration.
  2. For units with Option HSM or 1SM, the High Band ALC Modulator Calibration is executed after the High Band Scan Modulator Calibration.
