Overview of Spectrum Analyzer Adjustments

This topic applies to the following models:

The adjustments for the spectrum analyzer functionality of the Fieldfox analyzer models listed above consist of five different adjustments:

  1. LO Feedthru
  2. Absolute Amplitude
  3. Frequency Response
  4. Attenuator Slope
  5. IF Frequency Response

Depending on the firmware of the Fieldfox, TME will use one of two methods to run the spectrum analyzer adjustments.

Firmware Below A.09.00

For Fieldfox analyzers with firmware below A.09.00, TME will run the five adjustments in the traditional method, as separate adjustments. They should be run in the order shown below with minimal delay between adjustments. Temperature drift during these adjustments should be minimized. Delays of more than an hour between adjustments should be avoided as this may allow for excessive temperature drift.
