Calculation Tab (Markers Properties)
The
tab of the dialog box configures the frequency counter and band power calculation for the active marker.- Managing Markers for more information. : at the top of the tab are controls for selecting, adding, and removing markers. A marker is uniquely specified by a trace and a marker number. See
-
Frequency Counter: Select the check box to enable the frequency counter. Only one marker per trace may have frequency counter enabled.
-
Band Power: Select the check box to enable band power calculation.
-
Type: Select between band or band power calculation types.
Calculate: Select between and band power calculations.
Band Power markers for OFDM Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing: OFDM employs multiple overlapping radio frequency carriers, each operating at a carefully chosen frequency that is Orthogonal to the others, to produce a transmission scheme that supports higher bit rates due to parallel channel operation. OFDM is an alternative tranmission scheme to DSSS and FHSS. measurement types provide capabilities unique to OFDM trace data displays, see OFDM Band Power Markers.
-
Center/Span: When the check box is checked, and can be set for the band.
-
Left/Right: When the check box is cleared, and sides can be set for the band.

-
Analog Demod Carrier: Select the check box to display the estimated carrier for analog demod measurements. This does not work for AM Amplitude Modulation - CW modulation using amplitude variation in proportion to the amplitude of the modulating signal. Usually taken as DSB-LC for commercial broadcast transmissions and DSB-SC for multiplexed systems. modulation, and if Auto Carrier Frequency is cleared in the Analog Demod dialog box, shows the marker value.
This parameter is only available when the Measurement Type is set to Analog Demod.
