Search Length (MB-OFDM)

Menu Path: MeasSetup > MB-OFDM Demod Properties > Time tab

Default:100 uSec (See MB-OFDM Standard Setups/Presets Table.)

Range: 14 uSec to maximum [hardware dependent]

Search Lengthspecifies the length of time to acquire the input signal, which also defines the length of time that the pulse search is performed. The VSA then searches within the specified Search Length and demodulates the first complete pulse. To review the Search Length, Result Length, Measurement Offset, and Measurement Interval actions and interactions, see: Lengths, Intervals, and Offsets.

Obtain the minimum Search Length of 14 uSec only for Result Length = 12. Increasing the Result Length increases Search Length. The entry for Search Length makes an automatic symbol-time calculation and displays the results adjacent to the Search Length parameter.

To view a trace of the Search Length setting, see Search Time.
