Fwd Line Coding (RFID)

Menu Path: MeasSetup > RFID Demod Properties > Format tab

Default: PIE(EPC C1 Gen2) (See RFID Standard Setups/Presets Table)

Fwd Line Coding selects the line coding expected by the RFID demodulation software. This value is preset when a protocol is selected using the Preset to Standard button. To provide flexibility, the line coding value can be independently set.

The Line Coding dropdown list selects the format of the RFID modulation. The available values are:

• None (NRZ Non Return to Zero)
• Manchester
• FM0
• PIE (ISO 18000-6 Type A)
• PIE (EPC C1Gen2)
• Modified Miller
• 1 out of 4
• 1 out of 256

When ISO 15693 is selected as the RFID standard and Fwd Line Coding is set to either 1 out of 4 or 1 out of 256, Fwd Bit Rate is set as follows:

• 1 out of 4: Fwd Bit Rate set to 26.484375 kbps
• 1 out of 256: Fwd Bit Rate set to 1.6552734375 kbps
