Fwd Bit Rate (RFID)

Default: 160 kbits/Sec (See RFID Standard Setups/Presets Table)

Range: 100 bps to 1 Mbit/Sec

Fwd Bit Rate sets the Interrogator-to-Tag bit rate expected by the demodulation software.

Selecting the Auto Bit Rate / Tari checkbox allows the measurement software to adjust the expected bit rate (displayed in the Bit Rate and Tari boxes) by analyzing the input data. Clearing the checkbox turns off the automatic adjustment feature and causes the demodulation software to use the values entered and displayed in the Bit Rate and Tari boxes.

The value in the Bit Rate box sets the bit rate used by the RFID demodulation software. The bit rate value is specified (rather than the symbol rate) because the symbol rate can vary depending on the modulation scheme.

The Sym Rate area (beneath the Bit Rate and Tari boxes) displays the approximate symbol rate defined by the protocol, the format, and the Bit Rate or Tari setting.

When ISO 15693 is selected as the RFID standard and Fwd Line Coding is set to either 1 out of 4 or 1 out of 256, Fwd Bit Rate is automatically set as follows:
