Measurement Mode (RFID)

The Measurement Mode area of the Format tab specifies the type of signal measurement to make. There are two types of measurements that can be made with an RFID signal: CW Analysis and Modulation Analysis.

The first type, CW Analysis, measures the CW signal produced by the interrogator. This measurement must run from interrogator power on to interrogator power off and can measure the signal's rise time, settling time, and fall time.

The second type of measurement, Modulation Analysis, examines the modulation within the CW signal. This measurement demodulates the signal and measures characteristics such as modulation depth and ASK error. This measurement requires only that one complete burst is present in the acquired signal.
