:CHANnel Scaling Commands

Command Syntax

:CHANnelN:YRANge  <scale>

<scale> is a double.

Where N identifies a specific channel in the form "<connection1-8>_<ch1-8>". With connection 1, the connection number part (that is, "1_") is optional, and you can simply use the channel number "<ch1-8>". For example, connection 4 channel 2 is CHANnel4_2.

Query Syntax

:CHANnelN:YRANge?

Description

Sets or queries the selected channel's vertical range. This is the vertical scale per division value (:CHANnel:YSCale) multiplied by eight divisions.

Electrical channels are typically volts and optical channels are typically watts.

The vertical expansion and contraction is about the center offset value (:CHANnel:YOFFset) of the display and not at the ground reference. For optical channels, vertical expansion and contraction is about the second graticule division from the bottom of the display screen and also not at the ground reference.
