:CMODe:EYE:WINDow:METHod

Command Syntax

:CMODeN:EYE:WINDow:METHod {EOPening | CLOCk}

Where N identifies a specific common-mode waveform in the form "<connection1-8>_<ch1|ch3|ch5|ch7>". With connection 1, the connection number part (that is, "1_") is optional, and you can simply use the channel number "<ch1|ch3|ch5|ch7>". When two channels are paired to create a differential waveform and a common-mode waveform, the odd-numbered channel is used when specifying the waveform. For example, connection 5 common-mode waveform 3 (from the pairing of channels 3 and 4) is CMODe5_3.

Query Syntax

Description

This command specifies how the eye window used for measurements is determined:

  • EOPening — Measures within an eye window defined by left and right opening locations.

    Use the :CMODe:EYE:WINDow:LEFT and :CMODe:EYE:WINDow:RIGHt commands to specify the left and right opening location values. The default values are 40% (left) and 60% (right) which identifies the central 20% of symbol period.

  • CLOCk — Measures within an eye window that is a width percentage at the location of the recovered clock edge.

    Use the :CMODe:EYE:WINDow:WIDTh command to specify the width percentage value.

This command is equivalent to the settings in the Eye tab of the Configure Measurements dialog box.
