Measurements

You can perform up to 64 simultaneous measurements on displayed waveforms.

Once added, measurement results are displayed in the Results panel:

Measurements can be selected from the following categories:

  • Time Measurements — Horizontal measurements on time domain waveforms.
  • Amplitude Measurements — Vertical measurements on waveforms.
  • Clock Measurements — Measurements on clock waveforms.
  • Data Measurements — Measurements on data waveforms.
  • Eye Measurements — Special measurements for NRZ (Non-Return-to-Zero) eye diagrams. NRZ signals use two vertical levels to transfer information, and eye diagrams show one eye.
  • PAM Measurements — Special measurements for PAM (Pulse Amplitude Modulation) waveforms. PAM signals use three, four, or more vertical levels to transfer information. See also PAM-N Analysis Setup Dialog Box.
  • FFT Measurements — Measurements on FFT math function waveforms.
  • User-Defined Measurements — These are custom scalar measurements that you create using Python, MATLAB, or Compiled MATLAB. User-defined measurements can be defined for waveforms or real-time eye diagrams (pixel-hit databases).
