Multi-Purpose Button

Introduction

A Multi-Purpose button can be configured to perform the often needed tasks on an N1000A, 86100D, or N1010A FlexDCA. The 86100D DCA-X's front panel includes an actual Mult-Purpose button. N1010A FlexDCA and the N1000A DCA-X do not include this button, so after configuring the button using this dialog, on the menu, click Tools > Virtual Front Panel to access a soft button.

Click Setup > Configure Multi-Purpose Button to open this dialog.

In the dialog's Multi-Purpose Function field, select the button's action:

• None. This is the Multi-Purpose button's factory preset setting (Setup > Factory Setup).
• Save Screen Image
• Run a SCPI Script
• Load Instrument Setup
• Save Documentation Wizard File
• Publish Data to the N8844A data analytics repository
