Removable Hard Drive

All N1000A instruments include a removable hard disk. The removable hard disk is designed for instruments that are used in a secure environment. Because the hard disk is easily removed from the instrument, you can protect any sensitive data.

One hard disk is provided with the N1000A which should be removed before returning the N1000A to Keysight for calibration. Keysight does not need the hard drive to perform the calibration, because the calibration data is stored on an internal EPROM and not on the hard disk.

Both drive C and drive D (USER) are located on the hard disk. Drive C contains the following items:

• Operating system
• FlexDCA application
• Any factory installed or user installed applications
• Application licenses, which are automatically backed up to drive D

Drive D contains the following items:

• User files including data files.
• Backup of application licenses.
