Where <switch> is a string that identifies a switch.
Query Response
{ON | OFF}
Description
Places (activates) a optical switch (automatically detected or installed with a switch driver) onto the Hardware Diagram. If the detected optical switch has multiple internal optic switches, use this command to place one or more of the internal switches on the Hardware Diagram. Multiple optical switches on the Hardware Diagram can be cascaded. To query a list of all detected optical switches that are available to place on the Hardware Diagram, use the :CONFigure:SWITch:ALL
query.
The second command argument can be one of the following tokens:
ON
- Installs the selected switch in the Hardware Diagram.
OFF
- Uninstalls selected switch from the Hardware Diagram. When sending a query, a returned
OFF
indicates that the module is not installed on the Hardware Diagram. If the DCA-M name is not recognized or not supported, an error –224, Illegal parameter vaue;Unknown device name is reported.
To connect switch ports to ports on other blocks, use the universal port connect command: :CONFigure:PORT:CONNect
.
