N7841A Calibration Application Help for FieldFox Handheld Analyzers

N7841A Test System Overview

The Keysight Technologies N7841A Calibration Application test system is designed to verify the performance of the Keysight FieldFox family of handheld analyzers to ensure that they meet their published specifications.

New UUT Models and Options Supported

Adding support for bandwidth options B04 (40 MHz) and B10 (100 MHz) for the N991xB combination and N993xB signal analyzer models.

New Test Equipment

New Features and Enhancements

  • Adding functional tests to the N991xB and N993xB performance verification test plans to support options B04 and B10.
  • Moving Attenuator Slope from the utilities test plan to the performance verification test plan. It will be a functional test.

  • N7841A calibration application versions E.04.02 and greater require a minimum version of firmware to be installed in the FieldFox to successfully run tests and adjustments. Refer to the Firmware Requirements section for more information.

  • Some FieldFox model and option combinations will require the installation of the CFG Option in order to complete tests. All adjustments will require the CFG Option. Refer to the CFG Option section for more information.

Optimized Test Station

This application supports two types of test stations: a standard test station with stand-alone test equipment, and an Optimized Test Station that consists of an equipment rack with a specialized cable fixture box and other components such as a PNA-X network analyzer, ECals, power sensors, cables, and adapters. Testing must be performed within this custom test station.

These Optimized Test Stations are only available at a limited number of Keysight service centers. Please contact your Keysight representative to make arrangements to return the unit to the appropriate Keysight service center.

The FieldFox models that require the Optimized Test Station are:
