Adjustment procedures determine correction and/or compensation factors for the FieldFox measurement hardware. These factors are required to achieve expected measurement accuracy. The factors from each adjustment are stored in the FieldFox.
Each completed adjustment is assigned a result of Complete or Fail. A failed adjustment indicates one or more of the factors produced by the adjustment was outside an acceptable range. Some adjustments produce a text file that may be useful when troubleshooting.
Adjustments must be performed while the FieldFox internal temperature is within the range specified in the warm-up section.
Most adjustments should not be performed as routine maintenance, and should be performed only after a repair or a test failure.
If the instrument is unable to successfully complete any of the required adjustments, repairs may be required.

The adjustments to be performed are determined by the FieldFox model number. Follow the links below for each model's list of required adjustments. Refer to the adjustment page for specific model and option requirements. To expand all, click the Expand All button
in the toolbar (webhelp only).
The Functional Area column in the tables below indicate if a given adjustment is required for the NA (network analyzer) function, the SA (spectrum analyzer) function, or both. Adjustments required for only one area do not affect tests or adjustments for the other area.
