X Scale Tab (Trace)

Menu Path: Trace > X Scale

The X Scale tab sets the X-axis scaling and positioning of data displayed in the active trace.

• Trace controls: At the top of the tab are controls for selecting, adding, and removing traces.
• Visible: Select the Visible check box to make the trace visible on the display; clear the check box to remove the trace from the display. When the trace is selected, the following parameters can be set for the trace:

  For all trace formats except Real vs. Imag:

  • Full Scale determines how much of the trace data is shown.
  • Left Reference sets the value for the first point displayed.
  • Right Reference sets the value for the last point displayed.
  • Show Frequency Center/Span on all traces determines whether Center/Span or Start/Stop frequencies are shown below each frequency domain trace.

  For the Real vs. Imag trace format:

  • X Unit
  • X Auto Scale
  • Reference Level
  • Reference Position
  • X Per Division
