Startup Preferences
The
tab specifies the configuration of the 89600 VSA when the application is started. There are three Startup Modes; , , and .Startup Preferences are not reset by any of the Preset commands.
Startup Mode

The VSA will recall and startup to the last saved Setup configuration file.The Last Setup configuration file is the VSA configuration when closed and is always saved when the VSA is closed, regardless of the selected
. The folder location of last Setup file is%USERPROFILE%\My Documents\Keysight\89600B VSA\20xx\Current.setx
where 20xx is the version number of the VSA.

Preset mode is used to specify optional Analyzer and Source Hardware startup configurations. You have the option to use the
hardware configuration or a hardware configuration. At startup, Preset mode will set the VSA measurement to a Preset state and set the analyzer and source hardware startup configuration to the specified Hardware to Use parameter settings.Preset mode performs the following functions at startup:
Performs a VSA Preset Setup
- Presets the Input Channel Configuration and Display Preferences
- Restores the Input Extensions to the same state as when the VSA application was closed.

Basic Startup Hardware Configuration Functionality
- : The VSA analyzer and source startup configuration is the same hardware configuration that was selected when the VSA software was closed.
: Enables the "Specified Hardware Configuration" parameters which are used to select the user defined startup analyzer and source hardware configuration. The VSA will always use the specified hardware configuration regardless of the last used hardware configuration.
- specifies the startup Analyzer Configuration.
- specifies the startup Source hardware configuration
- specifies the startup Switch hardware configuration
: Specifies the VSA startup hardware configuration.

The VSA will load and configure the VSA to the specified Setup (*.setx) file at startup.
To quickly return to the last setup, use the Recall Last Power-down Setup command.
.NET Client Access Server Startup
This setting controls whether the server for .NET 6.0+ clients is started at startup or not. See the Remoting topic for information about .NET 6.0+ remoting.

- the server will be started bound to an address of [::]:59189, or at the address specified via the ServerAddress command line argument.

When starting VSA from the command line, you can use the -serveraddress option to start the .NET 6.0+ client server regardless of the Startup Preferences setting.
