About External Mixers (Input)
The tab in the dialog is used to configure an external mixer attached to the LO/IF port of an X-Series Signal Analyzer.
Here is a list of the properties shown in the tab:
- Mixer Selection
- Harmonic Table
- Cable IF Loss
- Bias
- Mixer Paths
- Aux IF Frequency
- USB Mixer status
- Input Attenuation
- Cable Correction
The tab is modeled after the external mixer settings in the X-Series Analyzer. For more information, see the help for the external mixer topics located in the Input/Output > External Mixer section in the X-Series Help.
Amplitude Corrections
To correct for amplitude variations of the external mixer, you can use the corrections defined in the X-Series Analyzer by setting the Instrument User Corrections parameter to or by defining an with User Corrections.
The amplitude corrections supplied by the smart mixer to the X-Series Analyzer will be applied to the time data sent to the VSA.
