Number of Component Carriers (LTE-Advanced)

Menu Path: MeasSetup > LTE-Advanced Demod Properties... > Common tab

Number of Component Carriers specifies the number of LTE Long Term Evolution carriers that are aggregated into the LTE-Advanced signal being analyzed.

The settings for each component carrier can be specified independently by selecting a component carrier on the Common tab and then specifying the settings on the other tabs in the LTE-Advanced Demod Properties dialog. You can also select a component carrier by clicking one of the CCx buttons at the top of a tab.

The LTE-Advanced demodulator performs simultaneous but separate demodulation of each component carrier and measurement results are provided in separate traces for each component carrier.

The frame settings Direction and Duplex Mode and the time settings Analysis Start Boundary and Result Length are common to all component carriers. The other parameters can be set independently for each component carrier.

Settings in tabs other than the Common tab which apply to all component carriers are disabled unless the All component carrier button is selected at the top of a tab.
