Burst Index Macro (RFID)

The Burst Index macros allow you to select the RFID burst for analysis by clicking buttons on the Macros window.

Macros are used to create one-button applications that simplify more complex settings or measurements. These two macros allow you to scroll through the RFID bursts directly, rather than by changing the Burst Index parameter on the Time Tab of the Demod Properties dialog box. They do so by incrementing or decrementing the current burst index number.

Loading and Running the Burst Index Macros

Load the RFIDBurstIndexUp and RFIDBurstIndexDown macros using the following steps:

  1. Select Utilities > Macros on the 89600 VSA menu toolbar.

  2. From the Macros dialog, click Import.

  3. Browse to %PROGRAMFILES%\Keysight\89600 Software <ReleaseVersion>\89600 VSA Software\Examples\Macros.

  4. Select the RFIDBurstIndexUp folder

  5. Click Select Folder.

  6. In the Macros dialog, select RFIDBurstIndexUp from the list of imported/created macros.

  7. Click the Show on Toolbar checkbox to add a RFIDBurstIndexUp macro button to the VSA toolbar. If desired, you can customize the name of the button by double-clicking the Title field. For convenience, the button will remain on the Toolbar every time you launch the VSA software until you turn it off by deselecting the checkbox.

  8. Perform the same steps to import the RFIDBurstIndexDown macro and add a macro button to the Toolbar.

  9. Close the Macros dialog.

  10. On the VSA Toolbar, click one of the buttons to run the corresponding macro. The first time the button is clicked, the Macros utility will automatically build the macro solution before running the macro.

The burst index number will be increased by one when the RFIDBurstIndexUp button is clicked, or decreased by one when the RFIDBurstIndexDown button is clicked.

If an error message is shown, make sure that the tari is correct.
