:INSTrument:CONNectionN:STATe?
Where N identifies a specific instrument by connection number and must be selected from {1:8}. For example, :CONNection2.

Description
Queries a connection to determine if a communication connection has been established with an instrument. Simulation instruments are always automatically connected when assigned. On other instruments, such as an Infiniium UXR/MXR/EXR-Series oscilloscope, you must establish a communication connection after they have been assigned. To assign an instrument to a connection, use the :INSTrument:CONNection:SELection command. To establish a connection to any other instrument, use the :INSTrument:CONNection:CONNect command.
- CONN
- A connection has been established to an instrument in the indicated connection number.
- NCON
- A connection has not been established to an instrument in the indicated connection number. This may also indicated that no instrument has been assigned to the connection.
