Starting with firmware release A.06.90, 86100D Compatibility mode is no longer being actively tested and supported.

The 86105A optical/electrical module incorporates one optical and one electrical measurement channel. To protect the channel inputs, refer to Electrostatic Discharge Information. The module provides:

  • 20 GHz, unfiltered optical channel calibrated at 1310 nm and 1550 nm. User calibration feature provides for consistent accuracy at any wavelength between 1000 nm and 1600 nm using an optical source and a precision optical power meter.
  • 12.4 GHz and 20 GHz electrical channel
  • Switchable SDH/SONET filter for transceiver compliance testing to comply to ITU-TS (formerly CCITT) G.957 and Bellcore GR-253-CORE frequency response requirements for transmitter compliance testing.
  • Compliance testing at 155, 622, 2488, or 9953 MBd depending on the selected option

The minimum required 86100-series firmware version for this module is A.01.00.
