Starting with firmware release A.06.90, 86100D Compatibility mode is no longer being actively tested and supported.
The 86106B module incorporates one optical and one electrical measurement channel. When performing compliance test measurements, the module automatically switches to the lower bandwidth mode, which provides lower noise performance and as a result, best sensitivity. The module provides:
- 22 GHz bandwidth and 28 GHz typical bandwidth (–3 dBo). Calibrated at 1310 nm and 1550 nm. User channel calibration provides for consistent accuracy at any wavelength between 1000 nm and 1600 nm using an optical source and a precision optical power meter.
- 18 GHz and 40 GHz electrical channel bandwidth
- Option 410 provides the capability to perform compliance testing at 10.3125 GBd (10 Gb Ethernet), 10.664 GBd (STM-64/OC-192 FEC), and 10.709 GBd (STM-64/OC-192 FEC).
This module has been discontinued.
The minimum required 86100-series firmware version for this module is A.02.20.
